MaryAnn Braun, Attorney-at-Law.

MaryAnn Braun is a zealous advocate and committed to getting the best results possible for her clients. Ms. Braun is a graduate of the American University School of International Service, from where she received a BA in International Service and MA in International Politics. During her undergraduate and graduate studies, Ms. Braun worked for the US House of Representatives Judiciary Committee and the American Enterprise Institute.

Ms. Braun is also a graduate of the Loyola University of Chicago School of Law. After law school, she was an Assistant State Attorney for the 17th Judicial Circuit. During her time as an Assistant State Attorney, Ms. Braun gained invaluable litigation experience, trying approximately sixty trials and handling countless hearings. She has tried criminal cases involving DUIs, Sexual Battery, Child Molestation, Drug Trafficking, 2nd degree Homicide and Economic Crimes.

Ms. Braun was also an Assistant General Counsel at the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). During her time at FDOT, Ms. Braun handled multi-million dollar eminent domain actions. Her duties included order of taking hearings and jury trials.  After leaving FDOT, Ms. Braun was an Assistant County Attorney for Palm Beach where she continued to handle eminent domain actions but also defended Palm Beach County in personal injury and employment discrimination actions. Also, Ms. Braun was a Senior Attorney at the South Florida Water Management District (District). During her time with the District, Ms. Braun focused on eminent domain litigation in connection with the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Project. Ms. Braun also represented the District in other civil matters, including administrative hearings regarding environmental permitting and personal injury matters.

Based on her varied and lengthy work experience, Ms. Braun has developed exceptional trial and litigation skills. Ms. Braun is licensed to practice in Illinois and Florida.  Ms. Braun is a member of the Broward County Bar Association, Palm Beach Bar Association and the Florida Association of Women’s Lawyer. She is also member of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO).
